Several reviewers have complained about excess glue on the inside of the glass panels. Our first lantern had that issue in the upper corner of three of the glass panels. My first photo shows one of those corners. I sent the Seller a message via desertcart, asking how I could remove the glue without scratching the reflective coating (more on that later). They quickly responded that I should be able to rub & pull the glue off the glass with my fingers. I have large hands, so reaching the glue was difficult for me, but I found that I could use a bamboo kebab skewer to dislodge the glue without scratching the glass. After that, we were completely happy with the lantern appearance. By the way, I exchanged several messages with the Seller, and they always replied within 12 hours (I suspect there's a big time difference), and they were always friendly and helpful. Other reviewers complained about the lanterns switching to 'flashing' mode even when 'on' was selected. As others have suspected, I believe this is a symptom of the battery charge getting low. The included NiMH rechargeable AA battery has a capacity of only 400 mAh, which is a pretty wimpy battery. We couldn't buy one that low even if we wanted to. A typical AA rechargeable battery (which costs 1 or 2 dollars) has a capacity of 1600-2500 mAh, which should make the lantern stay lit long enough for anybody. Now, about that reflective coating I mentioned. The product description provided by the Seller doesn't mention that the inside surface of each glass panel has a mirror-like coating that reflects the lights multiple times, creating an almost infinite "hall of mirrors" effect, as shown in my other two photos. This makes it seem like there are way more than 30 lights inside the lamp. I suggested to the Seller that they mention this effect, so they may add it to the Product Details. Review: Bought as a replacement - I bought this (2 actually) as a replacement of this exact same light. That means I like it so much I bought it again. This is pretty much exactly as the ad states. It looks great on the ploe I have them hanging on. They provide enought light to be decorative, but not really to "Light the way". They hold up well to the weather, do not get water inside the lights when it rains. The only suggestion for improvement would be to have the solar collectors to recharge the batteries on all 4 sides on the top. They are only on 2 of the sides and can make hanging the light so that these collectors are getting the light they need a little bit of a challenge.
