It is a rich orange spice. It is not shiny or brassy looking at all. The fabric is soft and it is well constructed. I bought the 10 even though I usually wear an 8 just incase. I probably could have bought the 8 but I wanted room for a blazer or light sweater. The fur is soft and feathery. It is such a beautiful jacket. I am so happy I took the chance. There weren't any reviews so I wasn't sure. The large zipper in front is decorative, but that is ok. I like all the fine details. The lining is a patterned fabric with french writing and the Eiffel Tower. I couldn't for the life of me find where is was made.
