## Description

An ergonomic detecting harness that allows for weightless metal detecting in superior comfort Suitable for people of different heights. Belt width: approximately 2″ Belt loop width: approximately 3″ technology employs three biomechanical strategies to transfer the detector mass (weight) away from the operator's arm: remove flexion and extension muscle strain, use solid skeletal structure to support loads, avoid soft tissue anchor points. These effectively remove the need for the arm's muscles to tense in a flexion extension position while swinging the detector, and therefore prevent the muscle fatigue and soreness that is commonly experienced with metal detecting. technology also allows the arm to freely medially rotate and abduct to swing the detector without the need to hold it up off the ground. Most traditional bungy and harness systems are only effective at removing the load from the upper arm and forearm, leaving the shoulder to bear the weight of the detector. Other systems attempt to rectify this by using a strut to transfer the weight from the shoulder to the front of the hip in a concentrated point. However, this is a soft tissue area and incapable of supporting a load without discomfort. Additionally, since this area of the body is soft, the strut sinks into the hip and pulls down on the shoulder, thus becomes ineffective at releasing the strain in the shoulder.

**Q: Does this distribute weight evenly and what are the d rings made of**
A: The hooks on the harness to detector are moulded plastic and very strong. The D rings on the harness are also plastic and equally strong. I have tried a few harnesses over the years and this is the best I have found. I carry a leg bag on the belt with pointer detector, small digging trowel and finds box etc. I also have a water bottle holder on the same belt. This puts all of the carried weight on your shoulder straps which are wide and comfortable and as stated, this harness is the best I have found and used over many years. I am 70 and been detecting for some 50 years. I use a Minelab Equinox 800 on the swing strap. Well made, worth the money.

I use this product as an addition to make detecting easier, & that is what it has done. Its comfortable & fit for purpose. The straps were already joined together, but not in any particular order that made it easy to attach them in the correct way, to the separate lower section of the garment. The reason why this was difficult & I needed to go back to the original photos I looked at on line, was because there were no detailed instructions. My first attempt to attach the plastic clip to the velcro that wraps round the detector, resulted in it breaking, I found a metal version I own that does the job now.
