Tablet fits snug in the case it also has a magnetic closure to ensure the case is close when you are done with your tablet. The only dislike I have about this case is that the keyboard doesn't work unless you have another power source. Tablet must be a OTG (On The Go) . You have to go to your settings and find out if your tablet supports that. If not you can get a USB cable for it. It has to have another power source in order for the keyboard to work. While the 9.7" will squeeze into it, it sticks out the end about 1/4", definitely designed for a smaller tablet like a 9" or smaller. My daughter's 7" tablet fit fine. The keyboard is small and some of the character keys are in weird places, but that's expected as it has to fit in the case.
