Review: Fanstastic bridge for the price. - I own an Ibanez AM73B with some tuning stability issues. I am updating the nut, the tuners and the bridge to fix the problems once and for all. The roller bridge feels very well made, nice heavy solid piece of metal (and the gold gives it a nice look). All the screws seem to be moving seamlessly except the intonation screw on the g string, which requires a bit of effort to turn. The screws don't have philips head on them, but that is not a huge issue. The bridge dimensions are perfect, and slotted right into my existing bridge posts. The bridge came with new posts, but I decided to keep the existing ones I have since its more work otherwise. Most importantly the rollers work perfectly, no friction whatsoever. Despite that I put in some nut sauce (lubricant on them) just to be safe. Intonation was a breeze except the g string due to the slightly stiffer screw. The full replacement took at most 20 minutes or so. Post installation I see some improvement in tuning stability and no appreciable change in the tone of the guitar. Maybe the bulk of the issue is in the nut which needs a replacement too. Regardless this is a fantastic product with perfect dimensions for Asian made guitars. I pulled the old posts, I took a drill and right sized bit and drilled right into the sucker, expanding the holes to fit the new grommets. Insane. Then I tapped the new grommets into the guitar with a hammer until flush. You can see in the finish that it cracked. Oh well, it’s a workhorse, not an investment piece. Bridge fits on, strings up and the rollers are easy to intonate and hold the strings, they actually hold the strings on unlike my other bridges. I’m happy with it and use it regularly and hard. Try one if you dare ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ High quality TOM bridge with roller saddles *by V***H on March 21, 2019* This is a nicely made bridge with very good tolerances and quality parts. It is as heavy as my original Tune-O-Matic bridge, maybe even a bit heavier. The saddles travel smoothly...after you run them back and forth a couple of times. I put some WD-40 on the threads to keep things easy to adjust. The rollers spin freely and there is no side-to-side play. The saddles are snug and true. I loosened the strings on my Ibanez AM93, removed the TOM and dropped this Roller TOM right in place...it fit perfectly!!! I tuned it up and could feel and hear an immediate improvement in tuning and tone. Now for the only bad part: because the rollers sit above the saddles a bit higher than the standard TOM saddle height, you have to lower the entire bridge to compensate for this difference. The difference is maybe as much as 1/16". On my Ibanez this was enough that, even lowering the bridge posts all the way down as far as they would go, the rollers forced the action to be just a bit higher than it should be. The only solution was to try to grind down the portion of the bridge that rests on the bridge posts....with a hand Dremel. After 2 hours I called it quits and put the original bridge back on...Ahhhhh sweet! So, IF I ever find some way to grind 1/16" off the post plates I will reinstall this Roller TOM. As I said, the workmanship and quality is very good...it just doesn't fit my guitar's setup. If you are not a low, low action freak like me, this bridge will probably be perfect for you.
