It's fine **Q: Hi there, I'm interested in this handrail kit but wondered if the brackets are offered in any other finish - like a brushed steel or gunmetal colour?** A: Looks like just over 85mm **Q: Do you have to use the round wooden discs under the brackets or is the rail too close to the wall?** A: Hi, we did not use the wooden blocks to secure the rail as I didn't like that finish, we fixed the chrome brackets straight onto the wall which looks better and no the rail is not to close to the wall, the only important thing you need to make sure, is what your wall structure is like ie are you drilling straight into brick or plasterboard, My wall was an internal plasterboard so I had to use very long stainless steel fixings to reach the solid brick, as anyone holding onto the rail and taking weight the rail needs to be very well secured. **Q: Can you get spindles to match in chrome 900mm** A: Yes we have two stairways. One just the hand rail. One with chrome spindles.
