## Description

The "Tetsubin" Teapot or Cast Iron teapots were first created in ancient China. They were later adopted and refined by the Japanese into Tetsubin. Graceful, elegant vessels for brewing and serving tea. Made of specially purified cast iron, they are symbolic of strength and unity. A coating of black enamel is applied to the inner surfaces to help prevent the development of rust. A removable stainless steel infusing basket is supplied for ease of preparation,. As with all "tetsubin" (cast iron teapots) this will brew a marvelous pot of tea and keep it hot for quite some time.

The Basket broke apart unfortunately and I cant find a replacement that fits, but it still works fine with a tea steeper. wish it came with teacup saucers.

It is good for what it does.  Must heat the water before putting it in the pot.  i do not understand about the cups.  Once the tea is poured they are way too hot to even hold.  The trivet looks nice.

Great teapot, but the cups are tiny and get really hot. You can only fill them about halfway or you'll burn yourself, so there's a lot of pouring and refilling.
