After a couple hours in the chair my butt would be aching.I bought this cushion to fix this problem and it is an all around improvement. I sometimes literally sit in it all day at my computer (I am a programmer) and I have never been fatigued like I have without the cushion. I was somewhat worried about the gap at the back of the cushion since I have never used a cushion like it before but I don't even notice that it is there (which is a good thing). The rest of the shape of the cushion conforms great to my legs and I think even helps with my posture.I rarely have to scoot the cushion back as it mostly stays in place though I would assume that it would depend on the material of the chair it is on. It was very sore while my lower back muscles adjusted to this different cushion than what I've been used to.
