I didn’t read the dimensions (silly me, my bad); when it got hear we quickly realized that it doesn’t actually fit college textbooks. But it looks great - no one would guess what I paid for it, and my husband’s hands are free to manually carry a text book and delegate everything else (such as regular books, notebooks, pens, calculators and other paraphernalia) to the bag, so it’s sill useful. I really wanted one this size without the flap but didn't see anything I liked. I needed it to hold a 10 inch Samsung tablet in the case and it does that easily with room to spare. So it's a keeper. The only thing I would like to change or see changed would be the strap. It is not removable and sometimes you just want to use the top handle. So I may remove the strap and use one of my others that have hooks on them. Also, there is no padding on the strap and with the size of this thing you can weigh it down easily and the strap will dig into your shoulder. Still, a well-made bag just be aware of its limitations. I'd buy it again, so it's a keeper. The zippers operate smoothly and the stitching it top notch.
