The manual (which measures 8x12) is chock-full of info that will let you get the most out of your workouts, with very detailed instructions for each exercise, and well-executed illustrations (drawings) so you know exactly what you should be doing. It contains lots of other valuable information as well, including how to do the maximum strength test. The test is to be done every 10-14 days. NOTE: Although the manual says the strength test is to be done for 10 minutes, that's a misprint; it should read "10 SECONDS".When I purchased my Isokinator several years ago, it came only with a fold-out chart, all in German. I don't speak German, so I had to try to figure things out on my own. Google translate was no help at all, lol. Now with this great manual and DVD, I see I was doing a lot of things wrong.The DVD and manual come free with every Isokinator sent to the US now, so if you're thinking of buying an Iso-K, no need to purchase the set separately. But if like me, you purchased an Iso-K before the English manual and DVD were available, you'll want to have this.The first 30 minutes of the DVD is mostly touting all the benefits of using the Iso-K (and showing how you can even put it through the dishwasher (and work out with it in the shower). It's interesting, but something you would probably need to watch just one time. The second half shows a man performing all the exercises.
