I am allergic to metal so I had to replace the necklace part and also add a retractable badge clip as I have to scan my ID at least once every 5 minutes at work to log into my register and didn't want to have to bend over to scan it every time. The magnet holding the locket closed is a very strong one. I have only had it burst open once when it got caught on something and I didn't notice. Fortunately I found all of the charms that were in the locket at the time. This locket holds up to 7 charms snugly. I have attached pictures of the charms I bought and the modifications I have made to the lanyard. For size reference, I put the charms and the plate on regular wide-ruled notebook paper. I also bought Choose 10pc of Mix Floating Charms for Floating Locket Free Shipping (Get Free Locket with Purchase over $17.98) Exclusively Sold by HOTBUYKING and don't remember which charms came with which purchase so I am including them all. It looks like there are a lot of the same charms in both sets so it should give you at least a rough estimate about what they look like.One note with the plate that comes with this charm is that I painted the back side of the plate with a dark blue fingernail polish because the charms kind of blended in to the background, so now the kind of "pop." ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfection! *by I***S on February 15, 2017* This is just lovely! It is well made, sturdy and I particularly enjoy personalizing it with the back plate and charms that reflect those things which matter to me. I have received many compliments on it. I'm kind of *ahem* a big gal and I am able to easily fit the chain over my head as there is no clasp. I like that as it is one less thing to break. It is a nice fashion piece that also serves a practical purpose. My only issue is he back plate tends to rotate a bit over time as I wear it so that the phrase I chose ends up not being visible since it ends up being hidden by the charms. It is easily remedied by unscrewing the cover and manually rotating it back to position. I think I will just do a tiny dab of super glue to hold it in place. It also came earlier than I anticipated. ### ⭐ and hoped for the best. Alas *by K***Y on September 29, 2017* I ordered this lanyard a month ago, and was skeptical when I received it, because the locking mechanism was so weak - just 2 bitty micro-magnets. I put my little trinkets in, and hoped for the best. Alas, I noticed this morning they have all fallen out and are gone. Also, the clip that holds your ID is not very secure AT ALL. It's shaped like a U, and the opening is too close to the bottom of the U. My badge has fallen a number of times, and I ended up having to put my badge on a ring, and tried using the clip to hold the ring. Needless to say, after having everything fall out of it anyway.. I'll be replacing this lanyard today.
