Definitely a full tang. A very sharp, sturdy and rigid stainless steel blade. The handle is plastic, and also very well made. Overall the item has a nice balance and a good feel in the hand. We have had the knives for only a week. They have been run through the dishwasher and heat cycle after every use and a few have even opened some boxes. There is no rust on the blade or degradation in the handle. I would definitely recommend these. Updated- we have had these knives for 7 months now. We use these knives daily. We still put them in the dishwasher after every use and they still look and perform great. These are great daily use knives. I would still highly recommend these knives. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceptional Knives... We have found them to be properly weighted, easy to use, and attractive. They look, feel, and work in ways comparable to knives that easily cost 3 times as much. ONE IMPORTANT CONCESSION (which is also true for the more expensive knives): these need to be hand washed to protect the blade and to maintain the integrity of the knife. The downside is they are not dishwasher safe and there were some reviews about rust, i have not seen it yet as we have had it for a couple weeks, and no issues so far.
