I settled on this cognac "Montana leather" style strap.The band itself is flat with stitching, two keepers and both gold- and silver-tone buckles. I used the gold tone to match the watch. The "Montana" style leather has a certain roughness to it - like the leather on a saddle. It's almost like a subtle veining in the leather. It's quite attractive and gives both the band and the watch it is paired with a uniqueness. A perfect complement to a 50 year-old, mechanical, hand-wound watch in 2019!This is not only an excellent band made of top-quality leather, but it's also made in the USA. I value that. The only reason I dropped a star is that it needs one or two more holes for smaller wristed people such as myself. I'm on the last hole and it's still a tad loose. But, on the whole, an excellent band at a good price. I bought this for an 36mm Orient Bambino with 17mm lugs. The fit to the case is very tight. It's so tight that I had to swap out the included fat springbars for the OEM spring bars that came with the watch. My copy of the 17mm strap is wider, at 17.3mm. Ordered the 22 mm band and had no problem at all squeezing it into the 21 mm lugs of my Bambino.
