    First time green tea brewer review; good stuff!

After having enjoyed a cup of loose leaf brewed green tea in the past, and always enjoying a regular tea bag of green tea, I had researched the benefits of brewing my own without old green tea in a tea bag. I found a decent green tea pot with diffuser and ordered this tea. I experimented and discovered that completely obscuring the bottom of the diffuser with tea leaves was just enough tea to get a lightly colored brew. More tea leaves would strengthen the brew. Pour HOT water, not boiling, into the diffuser and let brew for about five minutes, and then remove the diffuser with the leaves. If allowed to brew for too long, the tea becomes bitter. The flavor is much better than tea bagged green tea. I like mine with the benefits of ginger and cayenne pepper. I recommend this tea as it is genuine, from China, and delicious once brewed properly.

I have bought Longjing tea locally before.  It was small lanceolate shaped leaves that brewed a pale delicately flavored tea that I liked very much, but it was pricey.  I thought this might be a cheaper alternative.  Not so!  More like stems and twigs and large broken leaves.  I will try to be kind and just say that the flavor was more robust.  I did not like it at all.  Returned after the first cup.
