The latch and hinges are very sturdy and the retractable wire seems to be of high quality. It is very roomy everything you need for a day trip will fit in the back with no problem.I installed this on my 2009 FLHX with Factory 4 point docking station and Factory tour pack mount.However the pre-drilled holes in the bottom of the luggage did not line up to the factory holes in my mounting kit. I understand there are two different Harley mounts one adjustable and one not I have the one that's fixed.Also there was a small amount of orange peel on the lower Tour pack that could be taken out by polishing.I resolve the problem by drilling the supplied mounting plate and the tour pack to fit the Harley mount it takes a little work but can be done in a couple of hours and I would recommend some extra large washers and Nylock bolts with red threadlocker to complete the task.I went to my local Harley dealer and they told me red hot sunglo was no longer offered from the factory in the tour pack Therefore for your alternatives are to order a primer Tour pack, pay to have it painted, and pray for a color match. Or order this one and deal with a few small issues at a much lower price.
