We are talking about a man who can be dead sexy in Hello Kitty PJ bottoms. A man who can turn heads, hearts and body parts into gush.I've loved Alex since he first appeared in Tempted, I almost died and went to heaven when I found out there was Everything Changes a short piece and then Naked came out and I just tossed everything down to read it. I HAD TO KNOW what was he up to and where did he go??? We also get a peek at him in Vanilla - Megan you are a true tease!After Tempted I cried (Megan Hart I love that you make a story that makes me feel it and the characters) I was not upset that the ending didn't go all white picket fence and la la la. I knew in real life and even fiction there isn't always that cushion to catch the reader and give you all warm fuzzes and hey I am okay with that because I want the story the author has in their head and heart.Oh so back to Moments of Disarray. I have to say the story started out with a huge WOW factor. I had thought I saw all the sides of Alex but I had missed part of him. First off the one thing that is mentioned in the book and I will iterate is that Alex is gay. Deep down he is. I still love you Alex.As the story opens Alex meets up with a guy named Luke who reminds me of Duke Nukem and I really never found Duke that hot or interesting. Luke really wasnt anyone I would of pictured with Alex but then Alex and I don't have the same taste in men obviously since his menage with Jamie and his wife from Tempted I had different expectations. I wanted to not like Luke because I was like oh hell no this guy isn't Jamie but then you know this opens after Tempted and Alex is fighting hard to find that place to go with the all the emotions he was carrying after Jamie and Anne. He is worried he lost his best friend Jamie. He knows he hurt Anne too. He is in denial of being able to do the right thing because he freely admits he loved Anne but Jamie was more to him.Luke and Alex have a one nighter and of course the next day it changes into maybe it wasn't a one night thing but it also feels one sided. Luke seems to want something from Alex and Alex just wants to be Alex. Love and leave. Moving on...But Alex ends up spending more time with Luke. They have a kind of date day but more on friend level until they are alone in again in private later. The sex between them is intense and very erotic but it is not love. Luke is hiding a secret of his own and battling to find himself. Alex is fresh from his own three some disaster he created with a little push from Jamie but Luke is starting to grow on him when suddenly he finds out Luke isn't exactly the person he first thought he was. Jamie has begun to blow up Alex's phone each time they are together. Alex at first sends out his "it's none of your business attitude" to Luke until finally they start sharing more of their lives and Luke's secret suddenly comes out. Alex finally has to come face to face with who he really is as well.Will Alex figure it all out and where is this thing going with Luke? Oh I can't tell you my lips are sealed. This story definitely had to be written and you have to know what really happened after Alex walked away from his best friend and his wife, the only woman he loved.Psst the ending will leave you ready to run for Naked.Megan thank you for letting me read this for an honest review. I loved it, I almost hated Luke but now I think he deserves a story -- maybe "wink"Please read the previous books first because to me this is not a stand alone and you dont want to miss a moment of Alex Kennedy. Megan's writing makes him seem so very real that I feel like I could run into him on the street or at a party. Actually, every Megan Hart novel I've read evokes a reality that makes the reader feel the events in her books truly happened.This novella is best read after "Tempted." It's told in Alex's point of view. And the relationship he left behind, his emotions, his coping mechanisms -- are every bit as intense in Moments of Disarray as they are in Tempted. The ache and the hurt and the love continue as Alex shares his recollections and attempts to move on.Megan understands these characters deeply, and it makes the writing shine.
