I just loved the dress so much I was willing to ale a chance so I bought the 4X and I was presently surprised that it fit without hugging the parts I wanted to hide. (I bought something from China that was a 4X and it MIGHT have been a size 14 in US) so I was not not holding my breath that this dress would fit) Also, the fabric is very soft. I'm #210 and 5'10". I loved the overall quality of the dress, I was ambivalent about a few points. The dress felt too large and not well-defined in the chest and shoulders. I decided to order the black and white wave pattern in a L and I'm glad I did. The seem of the shoulders is now well-placed and I feel the dress flares out more nicely from under the breasts. Mind you, I sometimes even take an XXL in certain items but I feel this dress was oversized. I'm also in the process of losing some weight with the aid of 'My Fitness Plan' (I've lost #8 already in 5 weeks) so I didn't want a dress that was already too floppy to being with. I'm going to re-order the dark-blue in a Large and also order the Red and Blue tie-dye, as well. The length is still perfect and, with the pockets, these will be great gardening dresses but also great for an evening concert or dinner out. Here's the first review that I wrote, below, for comparison. //I was really looking forward for this dress to arrive (story below) and, overall, I'm happy with it. The material says Viscose and it's nicely weighted, not flimsy and yet light for summer. The color is very pretty. Though I somehow expected the darker blue part of the tie-dye to be darker, it does look like the image and it's quite nice. I personally would prefer a slightly lower neckline or a V-neck though it does look like the image. The shoulder seams go out a bit further than I'd like. Raglan sleeves would have been a better choice. The length is perfect, right below my knees. I'm 5'10" and 210# and the XL is plenty big. I'm almost tempted to go a size smaller. My biggest gripe about the dress is where they placed the pockets. I would prefer the top part of the pocket to have started a bit lower so that the waist could have been better defined. The pockets cause the dress to flare outward but it starts to do so right below my breasts. One could almost wear a belt with this to create better definition and a more feminine outline. All told, it's super comfy. If you're wondering whether to go larger, I'd say don't. Choose your size or even smaller (unless this one is really an XXL). I'm considering ordering the black and white in L. / OK. The story. I ordered the dress but, when it came, the package didn't feel right. I was so disappointed when I opened the bag and fake moustaches for a children's party was within! Fortunately, there's an Amazon Fresh near me where I can make quick returns.
