I use a CPAP so I can't sleep on my stomach either. I am restricted to only sleeping on my right side, night after night. This puts the heel of my left foot in contact with the bed all night long. After a few months of sleeping this way I discovered that I had developed some type of contact sore that was very painful. But what to do? For a while I slept with a soft shoe on my left foot, but it made my foot very warm and that made it difficult to sleep. Then, one day, I had a bright idea - check Amazon to see if anyone else could recommend something. And that is how I found this product - a specially designed Heel Cushion "pillow slipper". You slip it onto your foot, close the hook and loop fastener and go to bed. That's it. The slipper is very soft and after a bit you barely feel it. Also, the hook and loop closer keeps it on your foot for the whole night. At first it came off so I started using paper tape to hold it on for the night. But after a few nights I decided to skip the tape and I just make sure to close the fastener tightly. It holds very well and is quite comfortable. Ok, now to the good part >>> It works a treat! My heel is still resting on the bed, but the plush softness of the slipper keeps it from getting sore. Now that I am using this slipper, I can see my heel is getting better and doesn't hurt any more! Glad I found it. I was skeptical, because I expected it to be too warm, too easily lost in the bed during the night, or too uncomfortable. It was none of those things! And I highly recommend it to anyone who, like me, suffers from "a bed sore on the heel". Give it a try.
