**Q: In fl panhandle area, i have acidic soil. will this thrive in mostly shade with my heat and soil condition?**
A: No, it's zoned 4-8 so you're way above that and too hot. And it's not a shade plant, so it won't even survive in your shaded areas. I wish I could copy a link on here but Amazon would remove it. You might try doing an internet search for shade plants for Florida. There's a good list on the University of Florida gardening site. The only one i know for sure that will survive in mostly shade is Mondo grass, but there's a seed shortage this year and we weren't able to find any.

A: partial sun....and partial shade.   Ours is on the south side of the house....where it gets afternoon sun....but shade for the rest of the day

**Q: I live in Fresno CA where it gets very hot and dry in summer; will this thrive?**
A: I doubt it! I couldn't even get mine to ever do much beyond barely sprout and then promptly die.

**Q: can you start the seeds outside?**
A: I tried they didn't grow I would start them inside
