Not the best solution I know but worth it to complete the series. The paper is thin but manageable and not too thin that you see through. Love it. A must for Tolkien fans. There's a staggering amount in these books, both qualitatively and quantitatively, so it's easy to see why they were printed on much thinner paper than you'd normally expect. That said, the quality of the paper seems to be good so should last well if handled with care.
