It takes off way more than an emery board. Plus you don't have to worry about fingernail clippings. The point at the end let's you get close to the sides.So in that, it is as advertised. Good price, too.But then I got a phone case with the plastic edges that were a little rough. I didn't want to go to the garage to get sandpaper so I grabbed this thing. Worked perfectly and was easier than the sandpaper would've been.You know what I hate doing? Clipping my pet's nails. The very few times I clipped too close and hurt them have made me scared to do it again. Taking cats to get their nails trimmed is stressful for all involved. And neither the dog nor cats like the motorized grinder thing.You guessed it, I gave this a shot! Now I don't have to worry about getting too close or jagged and cracked nails like the clippers use. I will say, however, this small size is best for people nails and cat nails. Probably small dog's nails. I've got a pretty big dog (German Shepherd mix) and this small file just isn't going to be fast enough. It files easily and faster than a regular one.It just became really gross smelling after a week or so. I tried washing but it still had a smell to it. ### ⭐ Tacky plastic *by M***E on August 13, 2017* After about two goes on filing the "glass" all came of and was revealed by tacky plastic. In some places the glass chipped and some areas it held strong leavi my me with bumpy, unhapy nail after the third file. Not happy.
