But, I recently had Lasik done and wanted to try something different, so I purchased these and the Hot Sands, these fit perfect first time on !! The Banyan's I've had to do some adjustment on the temple levers, there were about 1/4 inch off, one lever higher than the other. But after a couple of days of VERY CAREFUL adjustment, their coming around, and I also like them very much. I think they have a classy look, lenses are top notch. Are they better than my Oakley lenses, No ... they are both top notch in their own way. I definitely think that the Oakleys will take more of a pounding, you will also pay twice more than Maui Jims ... but their definitely both keepers, whay I really like about these two pair they are wide, I'm guessing their made for bigger heads, which is what led me to this two pair. I wear a 7 5/8 hats, and both of these fit my noggin very nicely. So, good price, classy frames, very nice lenses, I ordered both with HCL Bronze, and Love It ... Once You Recieve Them, You Probably Will Definitely Want To Keep Them... ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Finest sunglasses I've ever owned *by C***R on July 16, 2015* These are the finest sunglasses I have ever owned. I have a big melon and I have trouble finding sunglasses that fit well. Most that I have tried ride too high on my face. My previous favorite were Oakley M frames. The Maui Jim's are leaps and bounds above. Incredible clarity, excellent fit, super light, super durable. The light weight and grippy but unobtrusive temple arms really make for a a super comfortable set of shades.I love that they come with a very high quality hard shell case, and soft 'sack' case inside of that. I store them in that faithfully, and have managed to keep them like new for two years.Unfortunately I bumped into some protruding rock in a cave, and got a scratch on them, so now I am getting to try the repair process, which so far is really seamless and straight forward. Even if I have to cough up $60 for new lenses, that's very reasonable compared to Oakley's etc. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Sunglasses, Even Better Maui Jim Service *by P***E on April 4, 2016* These are the best sunglasses I have ever owned. I bought a pair about 8 years ago at an airport store (obviously paying too much) but held onto them all those years. They also held up all those years. A few years ago the glasses needed a new stem. I thought, there is no way Maui Jim will fix these being so far out of any reasonable warrente period. I called them up and they said to send them in. I did and, incredibly, I got them back fixed! No charge!!!The glasses are a good balance between light weight and solid build (I can be rough on glasses). The lenses are second to none. Both the glasses and lenses have withstood several drops and rough treatment.The glasses finally we're getting to the point where they were looking a little ragged so I bought a new pair here on Amazon.
