I gave this 3 stars only because of their advertising. In fact, it is very pretty and will suit my needs. However, for the person who, like me, has searched for a watch for a long time, I hope this review will be helpful. Some things you need to know, don't let the advertising lure you into thinking you are getting a $400 watch for about $100. I got mine for less than $100. Akribos marks up their watches to $400 only to drop the actual price a lot lower so that you think you are getting a fantastic deal. This watch is what it is...a $100 watch. It is not any where the quality of a Rolex so don't think that it is. The watch may also have a Swiss movement but it is assembled in Hong Kong. That being said, I like the watch. It is bigger than I thought it would be but I have no problems reading it. Since I am a teacher of the Deaf and use American Sign Language, I do have to take this watch off while I teach. It is heavier than I was expecting so be cognizant of that if you do not like heavy watches or work in a profession that requires a lot of hand movement. I like the dials as well as the overall look and feel of the watch. It is easy to set. The directions are fair. I still don't know what size battery it needs or anything about the battery compartment. That would be nice to have in the directions. You will need to take this watch to have the band resized or do what I did and watched a video on how to do this myself. With the right tools, it will take less than 30 sec. to adjust. I cannot comment on the durability as I've only had this watch for about a week. Once I've worn this longer, I'll come back and repost. Beautiful watch for a great price. Purchased a link remover and adjusted it myself, needed about three links removed to fit on my wrist. Top right button adjusts right side face calendar date, central "crown" on right adjusts time/day, and bottom right button adjusts the 24 hour/GMT face at the bottom. The face on the left side can only be adjusted when the time passes "midnight" when you're setting the time, and the pointer will only fully point to the day around 4 am (this one had me stumped for awhile), and move slightly during the day. It has a big face, is heavy and easy to read. I constantly receive compliments on how classy and elegant it is. It has just the right amount of "diamonds" that most people assume they are real. I am a work at home mom who runs a small farm and food co-op from home while I raise my children, so I am constantly washing my hands. I love that I don't have to worry about water getting on it. I wouldn't wear it into the shower, but I don't ever take it off to wash my hands either. EDITED TO ADD: Nearly 4 years after original purchase- 4 years of HARD wear and tear and one of the knobs fell off.
