Best way to resolve this issue is to remove the metal case. Then on the top of the drive use a precision screwdriver to remove the screws that hold down the top of the drive. After removing the screws just lift straight up on the top this will reset the position of the track. Now for the bottom reset the position of the gears to the open position. You will know when its in the open position when there are no tabs standing up where the disc is inserted. When this is completed just reassemble. Finally test the drive before putting the metal top and bottom back on. Hope this helps Don **Q: Will this fit the ps3 fat ceche01?** A: I have the 60gb fully backwards compatible to ps one ps3.
