The mesh is very durable and much better than a different product that I previously purchased for our small Yorkie. The kitten climbed/ picked at the mesh and it was not damaged at all. There is plenty of space for him. It opens up very easily & collapses easily which is convenient & doesn't take up much space. Thus far, this has been the most durable brand I’ve found (I’ve tried about 5 brands)! I would have given this a FIVE STAR rating except this one seems to have a little seam of faulty stitching where the mesh detached from the zipper on the door; however, the mesh, fabric AND zipper are completely in tack!!
