A: It does not have a bottom, it slips over the top of the mixer.

**Q: Does the cover sit over the mixer? Or do you have to lift the mixer into the cover**
A: Yes the cover sits over the mixer! I love mine!

**Q: We’re is this product made?**
A: Until thus question came up, I didn’t know where this product was made. So I checked and found out that unfortunately it’s made in china. So I no longer want it!

**Q: dose it fit for 6-8 kitchenaid mixer(big size)**
A: I don't know the size of a large mixer, so I can't answer this question. However I have a 5 qt. bowl and this cover fits it nicely, and there is some room in the width.
