Juice extractor - cheaper and significantly faster extraction. Considering that many people give up juicing after the first weeks or month, faster extraction should be a consideration. **Q: Does it have any plastic parts in the areas where fruit / veg can come in contact with? Or are these parts all metal? Thnks in Adv.** A: All of the internal pieces that do the work are metal (with some metal-based mesh). The only plastic piece is "smoothie" attachment, which I've, honestly, never used - as I'm a much bigger fan of just plain and simple fresh-pressed juice. But I love this machine. It's durable. Clean up is quick and easy. And the juice that gets extracted is so tasty! I highly recommend this product. **Q: ikon vs juice fountain** A: I think I get your question. In some online stores (e.g. Bed Bath & Beyond/BBB) this product is advertised as the "Breville® Ikon Multi-Speed Juice Fountain" while on Amazon it's listed as the "Breville BJE510XL Juice Fountain Multi-Speed 900-Watt Juicer". In my opinion, I think they're identical products; however, see some notes on similarities/differences below.Similarities (as of 05/01/14 - May 1st):1) model # for the Ikon sold on BBB is "BJE510XL" (same model # as the Amazon Breville product)2) Product specs/main features (i.e. power, feed tube size, variable speed range & levels, LCD display) are similar, specifically:900 watts, 3" circular feed tube, 5-speed range (from 6,500 - 12,500 RPMS), LCD display (called "backlit control panel" on Amazon's Breville BJE510XL ad), stainless steel body.3) Accessories are similar (juice jug with froth separator, detachable spout, easy clean brush)4) 1-year limited warranty5) Dishwasher-safe accessoriesWebsite Differences (as of 05/01/14 - May 1st):1) Dimension: 12 3/4" W x 7" D x 16" H (BBB's Breville Ikon) vs. 16-4/5 by 15-1/2 by 10-1/4 inches (Amazon's Breville BJE510XL)2) Recipes: advertized as being included in the accessories for BBB's Breville Ikon but don't see this on Amazon's Breville BJE510XL3) Juice Jug: I litre (on BBB's Ikon) vs. 1.2 litres (on Amazon's BJE510XL)Don't know if the differences are valid or mere misrepresentations; would advice to call the Breville customer service line. Hope this helps.website links:BBB - http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/store/product/breville-reg-ikon-multi-speed-juice-fountain/1014770267 Amazon - http://www.amazon.com/Breville-BJE510XL-Fountain-Multi-Speed-900-Watt/dp/B000QBFFU8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1398953304&sr=8-1&keywords=Breville%C2%AE+Ikon+Multi-Speed+Juice+Fountain **Q: Do you have to switch blades from a hard to soft fruit/ veggie if the recipe calls for both types? I would think it would be a hassle if you have to.** A: No, I don't change the blade. I've found that the machine is so efficient that I can juice an orange with harder veggies and the juice is terrific! The pulp shows how well it's working. ## Frequently Bought Together - Breville BJE510XL Juice Fountain Multi-Speed 900-Watt Juicer (Old Model - Discontinued) - Breville Clean & Green Juicer Bags - Breville .BJE820XL/17 Nutridisk only-BR3-No Motor Coupling --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/950730-brevillebje510xl-juice-fountain-multi-speed-900-watt-juicer-old-model](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/950730-brevillebje510xl-juice-fountain-multi-speed-900-watt-juicer-old-model) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-14*
