    Not airtight - does not keep ants out

I bought four of these tall canisters to hold cereal after the open cereal bags in our pantry started attracting ants.  The wooden lids have a very pliable silicone seal.  A few days after cleaning the containers and stocking them with cereal, we fount ants all over the inside of the containers.  The ants can can easily crawl under the silicone seal.  If ants can do it, I imagine other insects could also get in.  Bottom line: don't buy if you want to keep bugs out.
