What does that mean?** A: It means that the knife blade and handle is one full piece of metal and the wood handles are secured to metal. Full tang knives are stronger and more durable in my opinion. **Q: Can it be used to prune a Peruvian Apple Cactus?** A: I have no idea what a Peruvian Apple Cactus is. Why don't you just buy a good quality pruner? If it has large branches then buy a pruning saw. This knife is more for digging in the dirt, helping to pull out weeds, plant bulbs and stuff like that. **Q: Does it bend when in use** A: No it does not. I will edit this review once I get a chance to put this knife to the test. The knife itself seems to be well made and has a good weight to it. The sheath is well constructed but don't know how well it will hold up from the constant removing/inserting of the blade...only time will tell. The only criticism I have with the sheath is that I wish it had a small opening at the bottom so that dirt and debris will not accumulate inside. There is a small pocket (Velcro closure) on the sheath for the whetstone but not for the sharpening rod (comes with a separate blue plastic case). Overall, I am pleased with the quality of this Hori Hori knife. I am very hard on my tools so I'm hoping this knife holds up! More to come as the season progresses : )**6/22/19 UPDATE! I've been using this Hori Hori knife in my garden and it's great. It has held up very well to my abuse and cleans up easily with the garden hose (I dry the blade before inserting back into the sheath). The sheath has held up to the inserting/removing of the knife. It is easy to put on my belt but after I start using the knife, it obviously gets very dirty from digging in the soil. I end up carrying the knife around, which is a little inconvenient since one of the main reasons I bought this particular knife was because it came with a sheath. It would have been nice if the sheath was designed so it could be opened somehow to clean the inside. The knife is sturdy, feels good in the hand, and can be used for a multitude of tasks in the garden. I love that it has a pointed tip and has the numbered/notched lines for measuring (comes in handing when planting bulbs). This knife is with me every time I garden, which is pretty much every day it is not raining. This hori hori knife changed everything. It is easier to use than any other garden tool I have, and more effective. The soil here is thick, but it is no match for this knife. I have ruined shovels, bending them while trying to turn the soil over. This knife was better than a full sized shovel! I set out to weed a small bit of the garden with my new hori hori knife; I could not stop until I had done the whole garden. I stood up, knife in hand, and felt like a victor. Yeah! My Rambo moment. I got it to dig catholes while hiking (way too heavy, I know), then used it in my garden. I still plan to take it hiking, worth its weight. This thing is GREAT! They'll get my hori hori from me when they pry it from my cold, dead hand. I ordered another one as a gift.
