It comes with several inserts to change the view, and it brightly lights up the room. It is colorful, bright, and covers the entire room. If you keep the dome on it, the colors are very blurry and opaque, but if you take the dome off and use the inserts, they are very clear. There are several settings, to either leave the light on solidly, or have it blink in various degrees, and in various intensities.
