Instead of tracking back and forth to cover the big empty mid room spaces it continually goes to furniture and wall edges or in circles. To change it's repetitious paths I have to block it with my foot to direct it to change directions. I have no idea what it does under beds but I suspect it goes in circles and not covering all the spacein stralght lines. I wouldn't recommend it to anybody. ### ⭐ Motor grinds to a halt after 4 months. Dirt inside, I guess. *by W***S on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on November 16, 2013* It worked okay for about 4 months, and then the motor started making grinding noises. After 5 months, the grinding got louder and eventually there was so much friction inside that the robot couldn't move forward. It would go about 10 feet and then just stop. It couldn't continue, making it totally useless. For the price I'd expect it to last at least a year, not 4 months. I kept it clean using manufacturer's instructions but this seems to be an internal problem. I may try to open it up to clean the innards but I'm sure that's not part of normal maintenance. Won't buy it again, I'll pay the extra money and get a real Rumba. ### ⭐ Go for iRobot instead *by Y***V on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on December 5, 2013* Arrived quickly, charged overnight, but didn't work. It would move backwards two feet, stop, and turn off power, no matter what surface and what settings. Another thing I noticed is that there appears to be a 2 mm gap between the air filter and the rest of the dust chamber. What is the use of the filter with such a gap? I returned Techko and got a refurbished iRobot Roomba 560 instead, only payed $50 extra. It feels much more solid and heavier, but about the same height. Importantly, the air filter was air-tight. It worked great and collected lots of dirt (surprised me). The difference between the two products is as between Ford and BMW.
