I feel like it was really helping in many, even incredible ways, but I also felt it may have been triggering thyroid issues possibly due to the seaweed and iodine content. I’m borderline Hashimotos / Hypothyroid, and I felt like I was having a strong thyroid reaction to this probiotic that initially felt like it swung me to hyperthyroid, as I felt manic and anxious, and tough to concentrate, but things improved a bit from there. I tried to stick with it, and did so for 3 weeks, but I began to feel a pressing / globulous sensation in my throat/thyroid area, like your about to cry “ball in throat” feeling that seemed to grow stronger each day. I removed the probiotic and switched to another one and each day the sensation improved and started going away.The probiotic also did some seemingly good things that shocked me, which is why I’m so torn on this product ... It removed all bloat for me, which is insane as I have weak digestion and need to supplement with hcl and enzymes and it allowed me to step down my hcl supplementation. So it seemed to solve a bit of chronic bloating (I’m talking decades), and on this stuff my stomach was almost always totally flat, felt much more hunger than usual which I consider a good thing as I’m churning through my food (rather than it putrifying), I felt mostly great energy, my mental clarity shot up almost like I was too aware, but at the same time it was tough to focus. Strange. Like, I felt socially awesome but when it came time to logically process things I had trouble, not sure why — could have been my body freaking out trying to adapt to something new, or perhaps something was healing and it was causing changes that feel scary at first. I’m not sure, and that’s the frustrating part.So some improvements seemed incredible, but I also find it crazy that they do not list the iodine or other mineral content. From what I read from Dr Izabella Wentz and others, iodine can be potentially problematic for people with thyroid conditions as it could compound issues and symptoms.In the end I loved so many of the feelings I got and felt I may have been healing, and wish I could stick with it, but at the end of the day I couldn’t continue taking it if it may have been jeopardizing my thyroid health. I would say to tread carefully if you have a thyroid condition, but give it a shot and see how you respond. Or maybe someone out there can explain that my thyroid was readjusting toward health and that way I would probably jump back on, but these were my reactions and they were concerning and depression-inducing enough to scare me off of them.It’s possible some of my negative reactions could have been from some other aspect of the formula, as there are a bunch of different ingredients, but that’s tough to tell. It is better to take these after you've eaten some food to help them get through your stomach acids. This probiotic is not white, which means it is not made from dairy. It is made from fermented vegetables and mushrooms which do not require refrigeration and are excellent for travel.These probiotics are priced excellent compared to my local health food store which charges nearly $60.I would recommend starting with one cap a day for several days and then going to 2 caps a day to get used to the 12 different strains of probiotics.
