Luckily replacements are available for purchase online.It is possible to remove upper portion or leave it attached hanging from bottom snaps while shooting handheld.Nice clip on attachment that can hold a filter or diopter.I think the camera is too heavy to use the hand strap provided.I like the stock neck strap better than the thin leather one provided with cover.Works well for what I need it for.
