DC's books, of which I've read 5 in the last wk & half & two of those were the Conv Univ III & II, have the ability of giving the reader the experience of a shift in one's being, in perceiving the world & everything in it as they're reading it. It's as if up until reading one of her books you don't realize the mental/emotional/spiritual straight jacket you've put yourself in but as you read you feel like you're all of a sudden lighter, freer, happier and, best of all, feeling that sense of oneness, wholeness and love in this seemingly mad, materialistic, chaotic, cold world the media has led you (or you have allowed your self) to believe.I strongly debated if I should bother getting this book bec Conv Univ III seemed to say it all so why bother with Conv Univ II (got III first bec no matter where I searched I could not get ANY of her books immediately in ANY bookstore except for this one!)? I'm glad & grateful to the Universe I did. It's really strange how a sentence or two, a page or two had such a deep & dramatic impact on my perception. The entirety of the book being 660 pgs & to feel that those few pages or sentences are worth all of that says it all.I have been unable to put this book down just like III. I take it everywhere so that whatever minute I can spare I'm reading--we're talking traffic, bathroom, eating lunch etc. TV ceased to exist. I'd often choose to be alone with this book & III than anything else (outside of work & life in general). The energy this book carries (as w/III) is so alive. It fans & awakens the kindness, empathy & compassion in your heart to burn brighter, stronger and truer. There are times when I have felt that senselessness or pointlessness of it all deeply, painfully, randomly. This books explains why it happens to some of us; how that feeling is part of a chosen experience to 'forget' in this embodiment in order to then take the next step of 'remembering' & making a conscious effort to reingtegrate into the sense of oneness with all that is.I feel the only reason I was able to "plow through" the CU books is bec I due to years of reading esoteric, metaphysical books along with strong spiritual practices (meditation & japa) and being over 40+ yrs of age. I think had I read this 20 yrs ago I would have a lot of doubts and questions about what's being said in it. At this point in my life a good percentage of it is sort of a 'check off' list for things I've read, experienced and observed. Although I could have read it faster, there were numerous times I had a very strong need to stop, be by myself and reflect on it quietly in my being while I did things around my home. Of course, having said all that, there are those of us who have zero yrs of reading this kind of stuff & no spiritual practice to speak of but bec of "who" they are this would be like reading ABC's to them. DC's books prove how you CANNOT judge anyone (or yourself) by their (your) cover!As a result of reading this book I have now been "led" to reading the Seth books. I never even heard of the stuff but 'ran' into it here in Amazon after reading a review on a Whitley Strieber book. This book is much more than past life stories. As I read this information, I knew it and have not lived it in this life time.
