The leads needed replacing and although the original connectors were electrically sound, the red grip handles were long gone. After reading some reviews, I felt confident they would work. They seem to be exceptional quality and appearance (actually better look than the originals). I’ve only test fitted them in the plugs, but they fit perfectly. The particular SMAW machine that I use these connectors on was made by Miller in 1974 for the air reduction company incorporated. The thickness of welding cable that these connectors accommodate is 4 gauge up to 1/0. To use them on cables 1 gauge or greater requires cutting the plastic cable entry end at the appropriate mark. In addition, these connectors require a 1/4" hex key & a flathead screwdriver to install, which are not included.
