The size is perfect for keeping a few citations on hand. And the best part is it fits conveniently in your duty bag, and pulling it out to write a traffic citation on inside the car is a breeze. This isn't a giant holder that makes it difficult (and dangerous) to write a citation by adjusting your seated angle in order to cleanly write. You can simply rest this light weight board against your wheel, and always have the vehicle in your field of view while writing the ticket. It even has a few compartments inside that you can tape a cheat sheet too with associated fines, violations, etc. It doesn't clasp closed however, so just be aware of that if you keep a bunch of documents inside and accidentally drop it or have to throw it down. But all in all, I love it and the quality is extremely high for what you pay for. The design is also simple as well and you can tell it's made with practicality in mind, and not just having unnecessary flaps or pockets that get in the way.
