The final straw was when Tom Tom suggested I purchase a new one - aaargh! I vowed to NEVER buy a Tom Tom again.So I got a Binatone, had it for a week and returned it. Rubbish on so many levels.I saw the Jimwey, though it looked good value and bought the 7" version. Given that nothing in this life (or any other probably) is perfect, this is very good. It took me quite a while to get the settings to suit me, but maybe I am just Mr Picky. I play the voice instructions through my radio, which I like, this means that it is easy to mute. The maps and graphics are clear and easy to follow, with good advance warning of junctions and so on.The only thing I would like is a touch-screen facility to vary the brightness.HOWEVER - think carefully before you get the 7" screen. I have an SUV with a big windscreen, it could be very intrusive on a smaller screen.
