They easily adjust to allow for different grips and to take on and off quickly in the middle of a workout. Overall, I would say these help your lifting performance. With higher weights, your grip strength will normally fail before your muscles do. It doesn't really matter how much you train your grip strength, when you get to a certain level you should start using some accessories.
