Review of Jean Haines' Atmospheric Watercolours in The Artist Magazine 'It simply dazzles on the page and makes you want to grab your brushes and get going straight away.' Review of Jean Haines' Atmospheric Watercolours in The Leisure Painter Jean Haines is arguably one of the world’s most accomplished and inspirational artists, and in this, her fifth book, she explores one of her most beloved subjects - flowers. Taking inspiration from her own beautiful garden in the English countryside where she lives, Jean takes you on an artistic journey that not only teaches you how to create gorgeous paintings, but also shares with you the joy to be gained from the simple act of painting flowers. In this beautiful book, Jean explains with passion and enthusiasm how to loosen up your painting style and include just enough detail in your paintings to portray the essence of flowers, bringing them to life on the paper and infusing them with vibrancy and energy. She shares unreservedly the materials and techniques she uses, provides a wealth of expert tips and advice, and guides you step-by-step through numerous studies and projects. Throughout the book there are many glorious examples of Jean’s paintings of a dazzling variety of flowers, providing an abundance of inspiration for artists of all abilities. Jean uses Daniel Smith materials in this book but other materials can be used to achieve similar results. Review: An excellent book sold by an excellent vendor - I wish I could give TEN stars to both the book and the vendor. The book is a very well written and uniquelly designed volume on loose style watercolor floral painting. The instructions are clearly written and acompanied with great photos, hence the book in-and-of itself deserves every praise. However, so does the vendor! I bought this book second-hand as I am a watercolor painting student and I need this volume for my own use. The book arrived in impecable condition that would even make it fit for a gift or a coffee table display. It was delivered on time and it was carefully wrapped in no less than four (4) protective bags: the first 3 were snuggly fitted USPS bubble-wrap style bags, and the 4th one was an outer shell of a firmer black plastic. Veey impressive!!! I often buy text books on the second-hand market for my personal use and in most cases book condition is at least satisfactory, but this experience was by far the best I ever had with buying used books. Bravo to the vendor and many thanks! Review: Beautiful Book - I purchased this for my mom who loves painting but has been out of water coloring for a while. The book was gorgeous, and helpful techniques and tips were offered. She was pleased. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Best Sellers Rank | #1,434,495 in Kindle Store ( See Top 100 in Kindle Store ) #119 in Art Techniques eBooks #124 in Craft & Hobby Painting #150 in Watercolor Painting | ## Images ![Atmospheric Flowers in Watercolour: Painting with energy and life - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/A1qR1Z4FwjL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Media Format** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An excellent book sold by an excellent vendor *by K***R on April 30, 2026* I wish I could give TEN stars to both the book and the vendor. The book was gorgeous, and helpful techniques and tips were offered. She was pleased. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A beautiful book *by B***A on July 2, 2020* Jean Haines is a master at watercolor, and every one of her books is a joy. This is no exception. She has a loose, dreamy watercolor painting style that focuses on color so each time you look at one of her paintings, something else emerges from the mist. Her sense of color is extraordinary. I love to look at this book just to feel calmer in this crazy world. I just wish she gave more actual instruction on how to create similar paintings. The photography of her works is top notch. It's an amazing book, so soothing. I really do enjoy reading it. But like I said, I wish she explained more about how to achieve such amazing, colorful works of art - that's my only gripe. But the book is so magnificently beautiful that it deserves 5 stars, anyway. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/96274559-atmospheric-flowers-in-watercolour-painting-with-energy-and-life](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/96274559-atmospheric-flowers-in-watercolour-painting-with-energy-and-life) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-29*
