The red coloring does run a bit when you wash it, so be aware of that if that sort of thing bothers you. I purchased the size for a 3-6 month baby and it could be that my niece (3 months at time of purchase) just happened to be very tiny, but she was practically drowning in it. Hopefully her parents will get some use out of it before it gets too warm.
