One set came in with a broken bowl and the vendor replaced it rather quickly and without hassle. All we had to do was take a picture of the broken bowl. I'm glad that I went with the Noritaki. Every piece is well made & of the highest quality. The only slightly dissapointing thing would be the packing. 50 pieces of china are packed into one rather heavy box, with nothing separating them put cardboard & tissue paper. Two soup bowls were broken when the set arrived. I'm surprised more pieces weren't broken. I contacted the seller & they quickly & courteously replaced the broken pieces. We use them as our everyday dishes, and even with 2 young children, we love them. We put them in the dishwasher every time we use them with no issues.
