This product feels great going on. Yes, it has a marked scent of coconut, which makes me reluctant to consider it for cooking. But as an oil for the face and hands, it's pretty sweet stuff. I'd been using rosehip oil and liked it, but had no real results. Likewise Eucerin Redness Reduction, though that's a good general-purpose cream. So far, what works is avoiding spicy foods, avoiding sunshine, and avoiding physically hot foods. One good feature of this product is you feel free to use it on face, hands, and hair. And might I add that if you're a supermodel--which of course I used to be until I turned to rocket science and number theory--you can add some to your morning coffee. I've used it for about 5 days now and have seen a noticeable difference in the suppleness of my skin and I haven't had any negative reactions (like itching and redness). I smear it on, face to toes, after my daily shower. I used it yesterday as a massage oil for my husband's aching and arthritic joints and he was very pleased too. It's not greasy or slimy, just a nice oil that doesn't make you smell like a coconut. Just a light natural scent that, in my experience, fades fairly quickly which is nice. My only warning is that if you want to use it on your hair, which I tried, you have to wash it out very thoroughly!! I accidentally put some on my hair yesterday after my shower (because it was still on my hands I guess) and I had to go get it washed at the nearest salon once I got to work. Luckily I needed a haircut anyway.
