The first product from Lux Mounts is an inexpensive wall mount kit for the desertcart fire 7” which you can install in less than 5 minutes. This is a great achievement because you can have a fully running wall mounted tablet computer in less than 5 minutes. Better yet, this mount does not damage the walls, requires no electrical work, and not expensive. The way the mount works is it attaches to an existing rectangle light switch or outlet. If the outlet or switch is not a rectangle you can pick up an adapter. The kit comes with 1 short micro usb cable, 1 long micro usb cable, 2 screws, 4 buttons and the mount itself. To install the mount you simply remove the existing wall plate on your switch or outlet. Then connect one of the included micro usb cables into the fire 7. After that place the fire 7 into the mount and route the cable through the mount. On the mount there are many channels and holes to route the cable this is due to the fact that you can install the tablet to the left or right of the switch or outlet. Next place the plastic buttons into the mount. Then place the mount with the desertcart fire 7 over the switch or outlet and screw it in to the exist holes with the included screws. Finally plug the usb cable into either a usb outlet or a usb brick then into an outlet. If the usb cable for some reason does not reach your outlet you can pick up usb extension cable. The screws go in alright, but the other side is hanging about an inch off of the wall. When I have to take the tablet out to do some work on it, putting the tablet and mount back together takes forever. Probably better designs available, but still works. However after I received it, and it was stationary, I looked back and it never mentioned nor had pictures that would lead me to believe that. So maybe it’s just me, and I made it up in my head. However if you think that it will pull away from the wall, it will not. It however is a very good product, that we enjoy... and all our guests make comments on how cool it is.
