It's not "brand new" but factory refurbished. Also, I think you have your prices incorrect. This model is from 2018 and sells for about $1650 brand new. Amazon gives a 30-day warranty on it and I went ahead and got the extended 4yr warranty for like $100, just in case. Mine looked brand new out of the factory sealed box, contained all materials, and works perfectly. Woot is a reputable dealer, they've been selling deep discounted like this on the internet for years and years. I've bought a lot of things from them in the past without issue. **Q: is this TV a true 120Hz display? or is it like clear motion 120 where it says it’s 120Hz but it’s actually 60?** A: Yes is a true 120 hz. In all Honesty, I am still state of euphoria after playing Apex Legends PS4 Pro, watching Billions on Showtime App, and and also Hanna UHD on Amazon Prime. It is absolutely incredible TV, I literally can't wait to go home so I can see it again. I have not done any professional calibration yet, but the out of the box settings and formats are still very good. I turned off all of the energy settings and overall brightness levels. Colors absolutely pop out. and what you have read about Perfect Black Levels is correct. Even the HDR content on things like Amazon's Grand Tour, you can see every aspect of the pavement. To setup tv, took me minutes, there are many apps, and even streaming options built in, including a webbased tv channels. The magic remote is a nice pointer system. Sound I actually ran through my Vizio soundbar. Again though, this TV provides immediate joy, If you love movies, and video games, it is a mastery level in picture. It is vivid, beautiful, and credit card thin. This is one of the best tvs you can buy period. It regularly won awards for 2018, for best of show, and even best tv. If you are ready to take the jump, you will be happy. I've bought refurbished products before and expect them to have minor issues and minor scratches but this was a complete train wreck.Good: TV was well packaged, turns on and has its regular picture.Bad: TV casing on outside was heavily scratched, but also the screen itself had many small scratches, but those you can live with. It was packaged the same as buying it locally except the box didn't have a pic of the TV but rather than a sticker. I used the Amazon Day and selected Saturday shipping. It was delivered via a Ryder. If highly recommend if you have the option to use Amazon Day and select the best time available for you.Okay, so upgrading from a 40" LED TV and spending a few hours on my lunch breaks reviewing and looking at other models. This TV as of 5/2019, dollar per OLED TV per inch @55" is the best deal I could've gotten besides flea bay. At 800 nits brightness it's super bright!
