It covers the whole remote except for the very front, for the sensor to send a signal to the firestick probably, so it is perfect for protecting it from spills. I also thought that, since it is silicone or soft rubber, that it would make pressing the buttons more quiet when I use it at night, just like my laptop keyboard cover does, so it works in that way also. The color i bought was the turquoise because I figured being a brighter color it would be easier to find in the case that I lose it, since that happens alot with the kids lol Overall, I like it and it does what it's supposed to do and looks cool too.Tip: I didn't like how the buttons didn't have any color for the icons so I got a sharpie and colored the buttons and then used a napkin to wipe off the buttons so the indented icons had the color and it came out good.
