She takes regular pictures and some videos. She doesn't collect movies or songs because its stored on her itunes/icloud account. 160gb is more than enough for simple picture/video/files (documents- school). just in case she breaks her laptop or phone. she has everything backed up just in case. the file transfer speed is very good. It did not take that long. I like the light that turns on when it is transferring files. The feel of the plastic is not cheap but it can be stronger. I dont feel confident in the external hard drive if i drop it on the floor.
