I have a chair at one end also but this Sat myself on the chair. 2 daughters and 4 grandchildren comfortably around the table. You could easily get a chair each end and fit under perfect. So would sit 8 people. Everyone who sees this asks where it was from then say they would like one but couldn't afford it until I tell them the price that is. it is nice crisp clean colours and actually looks like a stone top It has to be assembled which is easy enough good step by step instructions. Speed of delivery was excellent, the delivery fellas brought it into the house for me as I was on my own.
