The old factory step was welded in place. *by B***M on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on September 16, 2020* Well made, simple to use, but in order to install on my trailer, it required me to remove the "welded in place" old step. Next I had to weld the new step system to the frame of the trailer, as the factory had done when the trailer was built. I also had to notch the new step frame in order to match it with the dimensions of my trailer. The 'new' fold inside the door type step it came with sucked, door closing problems,door seal problems, any dirt or mud on the steps ends up in the camper when you fold it in, needs to be on level ground which we very seldom are as we do not stay in campgrounds. This 'old' style works just fine.
