Put the big part of the ring in your body ( in my case, belly button). With the pliers, hold one end of the big ring steady. With the other plier, put one end of the small peice on the large end of the ring that's not being held with plier.Now, you just need to get the last 2 ends together. Bring the ends together ( like a hinge with the other 2 ends staying together). Slightly push with each plirer to make enough tension to make the gap of the hoop ever so slightly bigger. Put the ends into place, release tension lock.I had to practice to learn to put it together.Super cute.Doesn't seem as thick as my other 14 gauge jewelry. Seems thinner. I compared jewelry. HOWEVER - the product reviews on how hard it is to get back together are completely true! It comes in a hoop but separates into two 1/4 circle and 3/4 circle pieces I had to use tweezers and turn my belly button piercing to be flat to the table to push the little piece back in. I did need pillars to "snap" the ring close. The second time around I ordered a 14g-8mm ring.
