## Description

This Deeco Western Basket Weave Jr. Chiminea is a compact design that delivers a lot of heat to keep you and your friends and family toasty warm. The smaller size is great for patios, balconies and porches with limited space. A removable lid tops the flue to keep rain and debris out when it is not in use and the flue can be removed to reveal a grill for cooking steaks, chicken or hamburgers over an open flame. The bowl has a hinged safety screen that keeps sparking embers from flying out and opens easily to allow tending the fire or adding more wood. Constructed of lightweight, but durable metal, this chiminea includes a fire poker, a rain cover to protect it from the elements when it is not in use, and touch-up paint to keep it looking new. The bowl rests on sturdy legs embossed with a basket weave design and features handles that hang off the sides. The basket weave design is repeated on the flue. Review: I am very happy with this purchase; very nice looking! - So far I am really liking this chiminea. This model is made out of CAST ALUMINUM, so do not be fooled by cheaper manufacturer's items or even cast iron from the same manufacturer. This will not rust or corrode like cast iron will. It will also be not as likely to "pop" or rupture from high heat or split due to environmental stresses (heated up, then an unexpected rain comes ...... etc.) like the clay ones do. I expect the hardware around the door to be the "Achilles Heel" of this chiminea; the hinges and the little latch are undoubtedly cheap steel, and will eventually rust and probably break off. I figured it would still be highly functional even without the door, when that day comes and the flimsy hardware does break off. The biggest negative to me is this thing takes very small pieces of wood. 10"-12" pieces of wood can be put thru the door. If you plan ahead and take out the internal grill and the top spark arrestor before they get hot, then you can feed longer pieces of wood down thru the chimney itself. Be forewarned that when you do this, flames may shoot up thru the chimney - kinda cool, but make sure you have lots of clearance outdoors AND that the surrounding environment is moist enough to prevent sparks from causing a fire!! Just big enough for a small patio fire, and the smoke goes up the chimney and not in your face!

Cute chimnea. Seems sturdy. My only complaint is I thought it had an opened grate in the back. It does not. This is not a 360 chimnea. It does give off a lot of heat. It's easy to assemble. We enjoy our large deck with our little chimnea.
